It's your city and your budget so we want to hear from you! Your feedback helps inform the City’s budget priorities and contributes to key decision about investments in services that you want and need.
To get involved all you have to do is open our budget simulation below and address the following key areas;
1. Changing the way money is spent
The spending section allows you to increase or decrease the amount of money that is spent on certain items in the budget according to your interests and priorities. Click on the arrow to the right to expand the category.
Your objective is to try and balance the budget, so ensure that your spending isn't out of control.
2. Change the way money is brought in
The revenue section allows you to increase or decrease the amount of money coming from different sources. You will see the total amount of money from that source as well as the current tax rate, if applicable.
It's important to remember, that levying additional revenues can be difficult. Put yourself in the shoes of administrators and determine where you can increase or decrease revenues.
Take your time with the budget and ensure it reflects your spending priorities. If you need any assistance use the help features within the simulation to help you submit your budget.
Simulation closes: Nov 30th 2019
