Discussion Forums are community spaces for discussion and dialogue and are the most transparent form of online engagement.

Forums or discussion boards are nearly as old as the internet, however, they remain as the simplest, most transparent and most democratic tool for engaging your community online. A well moderated and facilitated online forum has the potential to strip away power relations between participants and provide a level playing field for people to engage with you and with each other. The quality of the dialogue takes precedence over the position of the speaker.

There are two tricks to creating a good forum.

  • First, think long and hard about the question you want your community to talk about. The question will frame the debate. So framing the question or topic carefully is well worth a little extra time and energy.
  • Second, think about adding visual media such as video or images to bring the topic to life and draw the reader's eye.

An urban forest is a forest or a collection of trees that grow within a city, town or a suburb. In a wider sense it may include any kind of woody plant vegetation growing in and around human settlements. In a narrower sense (also called forest park) it describes areas whose ecosystems are inherited from wilderness leftovers or remnants. Care and management of urban forests is called urban forestry.

Recycling is a process to change (waste) materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to plastic production.

Tell us your thoughts about recycling today and create a healthier future!
